Brisbane Adventist School Holds First-Ever Year 6 Graduation

Brisbane Adventist School, in West Vanualava, operated under the Seventh-day Adventist mission, celebrated its first-ever graduation for Year 6 students.

The milestone marks a historic moment for the school since its establishment in 2018, which started with only Year 1 and Year 2 classes. It was established in 2018 at Kerepeta in West Vanualava with a few children in Year 1 and Year 2 classes.

In 2022 the school upgraded to Class 3 and Class 4 in 2024, and this year they have Class 6 in operation for the full primary level.

Yesterday was a historical time for the school, the first time to have a graduation for Year 6 students at Brisbane Adventist School.

In an interview with the principal of the school, Mr. Owen Terry, he said the graduation is the first time since the establishment of Brisbane Adventist School in West Vanualava.

The school operates with two teachers who share the classes with over 30 students.

The graduation took place yesterday with the handing over of certificates to the six students of Class 6 of the school.

Elton Goros, a parent whose child graduated yesterday, said he is happy for his child’s graduation.

Principal Owen continued to say the idea of having the graduation yesterday is an achievement for the standard of the school since its establishment in 2018 with few classes and few students, and this year they operate with the full primary level.

The future plan of Brisbane Adventist School is to have a secondary level in the future.
