OFC Development Officer, Phil Parker, is spending a week in Luganville conducting a player development and coaching education mission in partnership with the Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF) and the Luganville Football Association.
During a brief visit to the Port Vila Football Association (PVFA) this week, Mr. Parker spoke with VBTC Sports about his work. He emphasized the focus on developing football at grassroots levels and highlighted the importance of supporting football growth across the outer islands.
“This mission is about strengthening football from the ground up,” Mr. Parker said. “We are working closely with local coaches and players to enhance skills, knowledge, and opportunities, especially in the more remote areas.”
The week-long program in Luganville aims to provide practical coaching education, player development training, and guidance for local football programs, contributing to the overall growth of Vanuatu football at both community and national levels.
