Naka FC, United Malampa FC and iCount Yatel FC have officially qualified for the quarterfinals of the ongoing Fit & Fierce Football Tournament.

Meanwhile, former Vanuatu champions Ifira Black Bird FC have been eliminated in the group stages after a second consecutive loss.

The qualification of the three clubs follows the completion of Day 2 of the group matches, held at Port Vila Municipal Stadium and Korman Stadium over the past week.

At 3pm last Friday, iCount Yatel FC defeated Tafea FC 3-0, with goals from Ato, Kathy Iamak, and Waisele Iwai securing their place in the quarterfinals.

In another Friday match at Korman Stadium, Penama FC stunned Ifira Black Bird FC with a 2-1 victory, officially ending the tournament hopes of the Tenuku-based club.

The loss follows Ifira Black Bird’s earlier 2-1 defeat to Tafea FC, marking two consecutive losses in the group stage.

Even with one remaining match against iCount Yatel FC, Ifira’s exit is confirmed regardless of the outcome.

Tafea FC and Penama FC will face off in a decisive match, with the winner set to join iCount Yatel FC in the next round.

In the other pools, Naka FC and United Malampa FC have already secured their spots in the quarterfinals. Remaining pool matches this weekend will determine the final quarterfinal contenders.
