After the FIVB Pro Beach Tour in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand, Vanuatu played its first match this afternoon against New Zealand.
This marks the team’s first international competition of the year.
Vanuatu’s national beach volleyball pair, Mechabelle Lawac and Sherysine Toko, defeated Sadlia and Dikson of New Zealand in straight sets, but lost their second match to Belardi and Bell of the USA. More matches are still to come for Vanuatu.
