Over 1,000 People Say ‘Yes to Jesus’ Campaign

More than 1,000 people gave their lives to Jesus during a week-long religious meeting organized by the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church over the weekend.

President of the SDA Church in Vanuatu, Charley Jimmy, thanked those who made the decision to follow Jesus.

“This coming Sabbath will be our New Believers Sabbath. I want to appeal to every leader in Vanuatu to prepare special programs for these precious souls who have said ‘Yes to Jesus’ through water baptism. Make sure that there is a table set for them, that their Bibles and certificates are ready. The journey is not over, there is still great work ahead,” Jimmy said.

On Saturday, Korman Field was packed with students, mothers, fathers, and elders who dedicated their lives to Christ. Nine baptism pools were set up to baptize the new believers.

President of Amazing Facts and main speaker of the campaign, Doug Batchelor, said the event was not the end but the beginning of a new spiritual journey.

In the islands, over 200 more people also gave their lives to Jesus during the same time.
