Five siblings from the Kaltak family are representing Vanuatu at the 2026 MSG Prime Ministers Cup in Suva, Fiji, in a rare family moment for Pacific football.

Tony Kaltak, Semesi Kaltak, Bill Kaltfer Kaltak, Nelly Kaltak and Onica Kaltak are all wearing Vanuatu’s national colours at the same tournament.

Brothers and sisters represent Vanuatu

Tony, Semesi and Bill Kaltfer are part of Vanuatu’s men’s national team, while their sisters Nelly and Onica are representing the country in the women’s competition.

Their participation means five siblings from the same family are representing Vanuatu across the men’s and women’s tournaments at the same MSG Prime Ministers Cup.

Football roots in Erakor

The Kaltak siblings began their football journey in Erakor Village, where the family has its roots.

Football has been part of the family for generations, with members of the Kaltak family representing Vanuatu at different levels over the years.

Their football history includes their father Ivoki Kaltak and other family members, including Jean Jean Kaltak, before the current generation of Tony, Bill Kaltfer, Semesi and their siblings.

A rare moment in Pacific football

There is currently no confirmed FIFA or Guinness World Records listing establishing that five biological siblings have represented one country across both men’s and women’s national teams at the same tournament.

However, the Kaltak siblings’ participation in Suva represents an exceptionally rare occurrence in international football.

For the Kaltak family, the 2026 MSG Prime Ministers Cup adds another chapter to a long football tradition that continues to produce players representing Vanuatu on the international stage.
