The report was handed over by Acting Vanuatu Maritime Safety Authority Commissioner Lloyd Fikiasi and members of the Commission of Inquiry to Minister of Justice Job Andy.

The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that the Minister has received the report, with the next step expected to involve its referral to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and relevant agencies for further action.

The Commission completed its report on 14 May, following its inquiry into the patrol boat wreck last year during a visit by the Minister of Internal Affairs to Epi.
