Paradise Swimming and Arts Academy Ready to Launch Swimming Classes

Paradise Swimming and Arts Academy is ready to kick off its swimming classes in the coming weeks as it marks 13 years of establishment this year, celebrating many achievements through its development programs.

The academy caters not only for children and youths, but also for babies as young as six months old, school students, young people, and mothers through aqua programs. Fathers who are interested are also welcome to take part in the academy’s programs and lessons.

Owner of the academy, Busi Vasconcellos-Neil, who is also a swimming instructor and teacher, says she is pleased to see the academy—originally built at her own residence—continue to grow steadily. She credits the progress to the training provided by herself and her coaches, as well as the strong interest shown by participants joining the swimming lessons.

In an interview with VBTC Sports this week, Ms Neil confirmed that the academy currently has around 200 participants registered across its various programs, covering different age categories and levels.

She also confirmed that registration for new participants will begin next week.

“It depends on how we see these programs. There is no fixed time frame. If we have 13 at level one, for example, everything is custom designed depending on what you want,” she said.

The academy is also planning to host a swimming camp in April, with the main purpose of training participants in open-water swimming and survival skills. The camp will be facilitated by a swimming instructor from Australia.

One of the academy’s swimming instructors highlighted the importance of proper training for children, explaining that basic swimming skills are carefully taught through structured lessons.

“We have different groups, private lessons, different teachers. One teacher handles five or six kids in a group, and the group may increase as the level goes higher,” the instructor explained.

Registration will start next week in the Bellevue area, with programs open to everyone from six-month-old babies to parents.
